Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about roof cleaning or exterior washing services? Here are the answers Mack hears most often.
About Our Services
What is soft washing? Soft washing is a low-pressure, chemical-based cleaning method that kills mold, algae, moss, and bacteria at the source. Unlike pressure washing, it will not damage shingles or void your roof warranty, and results last 3–5 years.
Do you use high-pressure on roofs? Never. High pressure strips granules from shingles, shortens roof life, and can void your manufacturer warranty. We exclusively use soft wash on all roofing materials.
Are you insured? Yes, Batterbee Roof Cleaning is fully insured on every job.
Do you offer free estimates? Absolutely. Call or text Mack at (352) 266-6713 or fill out our contact form for a free, no-obligation quote.
Roof Cleaning Questions
How often should I have my roof cleaned? We recommend every 2–3 years for most Florida homes. The warm, humid climate accelerates algae and moss growth. If you are already seeing dark streaks or green patches, it is time to call.
Will cleaning damage my roof warranty? No, our soft wash method is manufacturer-recommended and will not affect your warranty.
How long does roof cleaning take? Most homes are completed in 2–4 hours.
Is soft wash safe for my plants and landscaping? Yes. We pre-treat all landscaping and surrounding areas before we begin and rinse thoroughly when done.
Service Area Questions
What areas do you serve? We serve The Villages, Ocala, Leesburg, Belleview, Wildwood, and throughout Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties. Not sure if we reach you? Give us a call.
Scheduling & Pricing
How much does roof cleaning cost? Pricing depends on roof size, pitch, and level of growth. Contact us for a personalized free quote.

Do you offer any discounts? Yes, we offer discounts for bundled services and repeat customers. Ask Mack when you call.
